    President Trump Approves Emergency Declaration for Texas

    FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance is available to Texas to supplement state, tribal and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions from flooding beginning July 12, 2026. Maverick County is among the designated counties. Emergency protective measures (direct federal assistance) are provided at 75% federal funding.
