Ballot by mail
The deadline to apply for a ballot by mail was Friday, October 23, 2026

What to bring
Bring one of these 7 photo IDs. This applies to early voting and Election Day.
For voters aged 18–69, the ID may be expired no more than 4 years. Voters 70 or older may use an ID expired for any length of time if otherwise valid. The Citizenship Certificate does not expire.
Don't have one and can't reasonably get one?
You can still vote a regular ballot by signing a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and presenting a supporting document, such as a copy or original of a government document showing your name and address (including your voter registration certificate), a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or a certified birth certificate.
If you have an acceptable ID but forgot it, you must return with it — the declaration does not apply.
It is not required, but it is highly recommended. In some situations it allows you to vote a regular ballot instead of a provisional ballot. If you lost it, request a replacement from the voter registrar.
Yes. It means the registrar is not certain of your current residence address — for example, because your certificate or other mail was returned as undeliverable. You can vote by completing a Statement of Residence when you vote within the same county.
You may be eligible to vote a limited ballot in your new county, only during early voting at the main early voting polling place, as long as you are still registered in your former county. It is not available on Election Day.

Order of Election
In addition to these county and precinct offices, the ballot elects Members of Congress, Members of the Legislature, and state and district officers.
Election Day
On Tuesday, November 3, 2026 the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voters must vote in the precinct where they are registered. Voting locations will be consolidated to the following polling places.

Notice is hereby given that the Public Logic and Accuracy Test and First Test of Automatic Tabulating Equipment for the voting system equipment that will be used in the November 03, 2026 General Election will be conducted on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at the 293rd District Courtroom, 500 Quarry St., Eagle Pass, to ascertain that it will accurately count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures.

Registration deadline
Registration for the November 3 General Election closed on Monday, October 5, 2026
You can register now for future elections: the application must be postmarked or received by the 30th day before each election.

Look up your record in the Texas Secretary of State's official portal. You can search by your Voter Unique Identifier (VUID, printed on your voter registration certificate), your Texas driver's license number, or your first and last name.
The portal also shows your polling places a few days before each election.

Fill out the official application online, print it, sign it, and mail it or deliver it in person to the Maverick County Elections Department.
The online form is not submitted electronically — it must be printed and sent to the voter registrar.

One of these: Texas driver's license or Texas ID card number (DPS); if not issued, the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number; or check the box stating you have neither.
Signature & date
You sign under penalty of perjury. Giving false information is a crime under state and federal law.
After you apply
Submit your application
By mail (USPS) or in person. It must be postmarked or received by the 30th day before the election.
Registrar review
If information is missing, you will get a notice in the mail with a deadline to respond.
Registration takes effect
30 days after the application is submitted, or on your 18th birthday, whichever is later.
Receive your certificate
It arrives by mail. Read it, sign by the X in the yellow area, and keep it in a safe place.
At the Maverick County Elections Department (501 E. Main St., Suite B, Eagle Pass), libraries, most post offices, high schools, DPS offices and Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) offices. You can also request a postage-paid application from the State.
Only registered voters who: will be away from the county on Election Day and during early voting hours; are sick or disabled; are expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day; are 65 or older on Election Day; or are confined in jail or under involuntary civil commitment.
Yes, once you are 17 years and 10 months old, as long as you will be 18 on or before Election Day. Your registration takes effect on your 18th birthday if that falls after the 30-day period.
