21 Mar First Positive Case of COVID-19 Confirmed in Eagle Pass
Health authorities from the State of Texas have confirmed the first positive case of COVID-19 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
On Saturday, March 21, Maverick County Judge David Saucedo and City of Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes held a press conference and confirmed a positive case of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Eagle Pass, Texas. According to authorities, the patient visited HEB on Thursday, March 19 and the Rincon de Veronica restaurant on Wednesday, March 18.
Authorities advise citizens of the community to remain calm and to avoid panic shopping, and to instead focus and monitor their health. If you are experiencing any symptoms such as cough, fever, or respiratory problems, please call your doctor or a medical center.
If you are not experiencing any symptoms, you do not need a test, medical assistance, or to call 911 to inquire about COVID-19. 911 is for emergencies only.
